One Month Post Chemo
Jilly had her one month post chemo check-up today.  She is doing so well, better than I could ever have hoped for.  I even love her little face without those whiskers – gives her a little character 😉
We walked into the vet and were met by multitudes of vet techs wanting hugs and comments of “oh jill’s here!”. Â It just makes me so happy and proud. Â She is such a good little patient. Â Her exam included a physical, CBC, Chemistry and Chest X-Ray. Â During the physical exam, her vet was poking around underneath her throat and she gave a loud HACK, her vet looked up and saw the panicked look on my face and told me it was totally her doing. Â Seriously??? We’re like 5 minutes away from the lung x-ray. Â Don’t give me a heart attack.
Physical exam = she looks purrfect! Â She’s lost a few ounces, but we just need to keep an eye on her weight. Â It’s fluctuated throughout this entire journey, so it’s not too much to worry about. Â The CBC and Chemistry will come back tomorrow. Â And the chest X-Ray, ALL CLEAR! YIPPY SKIPPY!
So now we will wait for the bloodwork to come in and then discuss the cytoxan dose she will get and what that will entail. Â She is now sleeping soundly after being fed a ton of treats tonight and snuggled a LOT. Â She deserves to be spoiled afterall.
The prettiest lungs I ever seen (anyone else think it looks like there’s a pig face in her stomach):
So, we are VERY happy tonight and she should be starting metronomic cytoxan in the next week or so and then have a check up in a month. Â But for now, we can sleep soundly……………………….

YIPPY SKIPPY INDEED!!
And yes, those are great Xray photos.
But I’m not sure about the pig……? I think I see the face of an angel in there protecting her…….or it could
be just a pig with wings:-) 🙂
I bet those whiskers she lost weigh at least an ounce so that’s part of it!
Erica, I really, really am happy for you and Jill and I know you’ve got great times ahead. Jill……and you..have what it takes to soldier through this to victory.
That picture of the two of you is priceless……and a treasured memory in the making. That is what peace and contentment look like.
Continued serenity to you, Sally and Happy Hannan

Jill is a remarkable hero and she will continue to give cancer the ol’ heave-ho for a long, long time. Purrrrrfect indeed.
I think it looks like a frog face.

Yay Jillbean!
We are so glad to hear that everything is looking good! Inspiration to us all! I thought it looked like a frog with it’s tongue out for a snack!
Tell mom she needs to give you treats that don’t produce so much gas though…the chat room begins to smell a bit 🙂
Hugs!
