Happy 14 Month Ampuversary Jill!
Today is Jilly’s 14 month ampuversary! Things are moving along swimmingly. Â I’ve been a little absent as of late, because work has been quite busy, but Jill has been doing great. Â She has a new little uh habit of peeing on my bed which we are trying to figure out. Â It started when my sisters cat Lucy came over while my sister had to go to Hong Kong. Â Lucy is not quite the nicest cat in the world and I saw Lucy attack Jill one day in the litter box and now Jill’s vet thinks Jill may have a touch of PTSD about using her litterbox. Â She’s had her urine checked out and an abdominal x-ray done and she looks physically a-ok, so we are just working on calming her down a bit.
Otherwise, things are great. Â Belle is currently here visiting, which Jill is very happy about. Â They cuddle all day long. Â I’m so proud of my little kitty. Â 14 months of fighting and still going strong. Â Still the same loveable, cuddly, smushy, mushy girl I love. Â My mom reminded me the other night, when we first got the diagnosis, she said to me, “every day now you have with her is an extra gift” and I am reminded of that every day.

Wow, Jill! 14 months already? Where does the time go? Now you just have to chill out and use YOUR litter box instead of Mom’s bed. After all, if you are going to sleep there, you don’t want to be messing it up!!

And don’t you worry about that ole’ Lucy,okay? Happy Hannah says to lether kow next time she comes over and she’ll fly up there and “take care of her”. Now, that concerns me a little because she was lickng her chops the whole time and eyeing her food bowl the whole time!
Yeah, I’m thinking that litter box holds scarey “memories” for her. Have you tried moving it maybe into the bedroom or maybe some other “safe” location?

Jill, you have to be the most loved kittyin the Universe. And you are clearly the most lovng kittyin the Universe! You love your momma so much! And we all love you bothz, You are our friends, our famiy, and our hooe! Keep on rockin’ Jill! You are going to be a beautiful “senior” kitty who will age so gracefuly!

Tell Mom that after fighting cancer a little CBT (cat behaviour therapy) is all that is in order for your elimination issue! Maybe a few extra snuggles from Belle will help.
