a GOOD problem to have!
It’s so nice to be able to write a blog post about a good problem for once.
Jill is moving along beautifully. Â Having just marked her 14 month ampuversary, she is doing just great. Â She recently went to the vet because she was having some stress related peepee issues after my sisters cat visited. Â Just wanted to make sure it was indeed stress related and she was all healthy. Â And she was! Â Abdominal X-Ray and Urinalysis checked out A-OK…but…
JILL IS GETTING FAT. (dont tell her I said that)
Yes it was just 6 months ago when we had quite the scare and she had lost 15% of her body weight and she was down to 8 lbs 10 ozs (she was 11 lbs 6 ozs normally). Â Quite the scare she gave me. Â We eventually determined it was from the metronomic dose of Leukeran that she was on and we stopped that and she has been on the up..and up……and apparently UP since then. Â OK…so maybe the weight scare got me carried away a little. Â And you know, she did have cancer, so OK I give her some treats every now and then.
But last week she weighed in at just under 12 pounds!  Rut roh…..Well ok I know she cant gain more weight because she does only have three legs to support her, but it does make me a tiiiiiny bit hapy, because I know this just means shes healthy 🙂  SO FINALLY we have a GOOD problem on our hands 😀

Don’t worry Jilly Bean. Just stand next to Bruddah and nobody will notice that you are a teensy bit fluffier.

She’s got some lovely curves! But, yeah, you’re right – we gotta keep their weight in check. I’ll half celebrate her healthiness! And half hope she doesn’t gain more.
Also: CLEAR xrays?! SUPERB!!!! YEY!!!!! What a wonderful, beautiful picture of NOTHING!

With your help Jill can be the next spokescat for Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers!
I’d definitely rather have the weight problem than the rapid weight loss one. This IS great news!!
